| The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a special marine warning for the Gulf of Mexico and Florida Strait coastal waters from Pigeon Key to Key West out to - 20 nm, Florida Strait outer waters from - Upper Key and Key West from - 20 nm to - 50 nm - and the Gulf of Mexico outer waters from East Sable to Bonny Beach from - 20 nm to - 50 nm until 1:25 PM EDT. At 12:45 PM CDT the US Coast Guard reported a funnel cloud located 5 miles northwest of Key West. The funnel cloud was moving northeast at 15 mph. Boaters should be on the watch for waterspout activity. Take immediate evasive action, if threatened. The best course of action is to move away from the waterspout at a 90 degree angle from its apparent movement. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio for further information. | ||||||
