CommPower's XML Portal (CP-XP)

CommPower’s XML Portal (CP-XP) to DMS serves as a generic ACP123/STANAG-4406 bi-directional interface for external applications not capable of processing ACP123/STANAG-4406 formatted messages. The CP-XP connects directly to the messaging backbone and is able to originate and receive military X.400 messages on behalf of a designated community. For each DMS message received, the CP-XP performs all security processing in a compliant/certified manner and translates the X.400 military message to the XML (Extensible Markup Language) format for viewing by a commercial web browser. In addition, the CP-XP can forward a copy of the X.400 military message to up to twenty other external DMS systems in one of three configurable formats (P772 clear, signed only, encrypted). To support DMS message origination, CP-XP provides a web based API that can be incorporated into any web based client application. This API provides the means for a client application to select an organizational role, create a security label for the selected role, validate the security label, and to validate the security label against a list of message recipients. Once a web-based user has composed the XML formatted message, it is handed to CP-XP for encryption and release into DMS.

The current release of this product supports the DMS MSP/CSP security policy. S/MIME-V3 ESS services are planned for a future release.
